According to a recent announcement by Intel, ultrabook and tablet PCs will be available in the future. This feature gives users more options for interacting with their device. Intel is the maker of the chip that introduced the ultrabook concept for low-power, lightweight, and lightweight laptops.
There will be 5 types of sensors supported including compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, GPS, Ambient Light Sensor. According to Intel, hybrid models using the five sensors will have to brand the ultrabook. Three of these five types of sensors are recommended by Intel for use with conventional ultrabooks.

- Compass (optional, for ultrabook): The compass lets the user know where he is standing, helping you identify the direction.
- GPS (recommended for ultrabooks): Determine your location so that the device can provide a road map as well as the relevant information you need.
- Acceleration sensor
(Recommended for ultrabooks): Identifies motion and gravity, which is often used to protect the hard drive in the event of a laptop being moved or dropped. The accelerometer also has the ability to provide users with information based on motion.
- Ambient light sensor (recommended for ultrabook): Automatically detect lighting conditions, from which the laptop can adjust the screen brightness based on the surrounding atmosphere.
- Gyroscope (optional, used for ultrabook): Similar to accelerometer sensor, the gyroscope can recognize the movement and speed of the device. Many games now use this sensor for motion control.
There are many of these sensors previously used for laptops. Samsung Series 9 is an example. Samsung's laptops have ambient light sensors. Accelerometer has long been a "salvage" for laptop hard drives so far when users crashed the machine.
The interesting thing is that Intel uses these sensors for hybrid devices between the MTB and the laptop. Perhaps Intel, as these sensors become more popular, will have more types of applications that take advantage of these technologies.
Currently, smartphones and MTBs are becoming more powerful in the face of identity technology. However, this gap may be narrowed down to the next generation of ultrabooks. The manufacturer of the ultrabook will decide which sensor to use for their device. For the user, if you want to know what your laptop uses sensors, Intel said you can go to the "Sensors" section in Windows Device Manager to find out.
